‘The Continuing Dream’ was written for and is dedicated to Karl Larson and Matt Evans. It should be performed without pause. If possible, any lights other than the ones needed by the musicians should be switched off.
Although generally marked with soft dynamics, the overall effect should be one of a lush, full-bodied mass of sound, so in larger venues, it may be necessary to amplify the piano, vibraphone, cymbals, bowls and gongs. The tam-tam, crotales and bells should be loud enough without amplification.
